Frequently asked questions

I am licensed to work with clients in California and Florida.

$200 per 50 minute session.

Therapy starts initially with gathering history and establishing goals. Sessions typically last around 50 minutes and involve open and confidential conversations between you and the therapist. You’ll have the opportunity to discuss your concerns, set goals, explore thoughts and feelings, and work together to develop strategies for positive change.

The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. Initially, most start with weekly sessions, and as progress is made, sessions might become less frequent. Sessions can also occur more often should the need arise. Your therapist will collaborate with you to determine the best schedule.

The duration of therapy varies based on your unique circumstances and goals. Some clients may see significant progress in a few months, while others may choose to continue therapy for an extended period to maintain their well-being or work on new goals.

We meet using a confidential, HIPAA compliant video platform that allows us to see each other face to face. This enables you to meet in a place that is comfortable and convenient for you. Before your session, you will be provided with a link to join our meeting.

Online therapy, also known as teletherapy or telehealth, offers several benefits that can make it a convenient and effective option for many people seeking mental health support. Some of the key benefits include:

  • Accessibility: Online therapy eliminates geographical barriers, making mental health services more accessible to individuals who live in remote areas or areas with limited access to in-person therapy. This can be particularly helpful for people with mobility issues or transportation limitations.
  • Convenience: Online therapy allows clients to attend sessions from the comfort of their own homes or any location with internet access. This convenience can save time and reduce the stress associated with commuting to a therapist’s office.
  • Flexibility: Cutting down on travel time may help accommodate clients with busy work or family schedules.
  • Anonymity and Privacy: Online therapy can provide a sense of anonymity that some individuals find comforting. They can speak openly about their concerns without the fear of running into someone they know in a waiting room or office building.
  • Choice of Therapist: Online therapy expands the pool of available therapists, allowing clients to choose from a broader range of professionals who may have the expertise and approach that aligns with their needs and preferences.
  • Consistency: Clients who travel frequently or have unpredictable schedules can benefit from the consistency of online therapy. They can continue their therapy without disruptions, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Comfort and Familiarity: Being in a familiar environment can make some clients feel more comfortable and open during therapy sessions. This comfort can enhance the therapeutic process.
  • Variety of Communication Options: Online therapy can use various communication methods, including video conferencing, phone calls, text messaging, or email, allowing clients to choose the format that suits them best.

However, it’s essential to acknowledge that online therapy may not be suitable for everyone. Some individuals may prefer or require in-person therapy due to personal preferences or the nature of their mental health concerns. Additionally, the quality of online therapy can vary depending on the therapist’s qualifications and the platform used, so it’s crucial to research and choose a reputable provider. Overall, online therapy can be a valuable and effective option for those seeking mental health support, offering increased accessibility and convenience without sacrificing the quality of care.
